Volunteer introductions

To help pair up our Volunteer Reading Coaches with adult learners, we are asking all new volunteers to provide short introductions. These will be shared with the adult learners in class to help them get a sense of who they'll be working with.

Please remember the following:

• Keep it brief
• Keep the language simple
• Answer in full sentences
• Avoid slang, idioms or abbreviations

We don't know if the teachers will be reading these out to the students, so the language must be simple and straightforward enough for adult learners on entry level literacy courses to read.
